Commentary
The first half of the year experienced fewer sales, as buyers stood on the sidelines waiting for interest rates to drop, despite a dramatic increase in inventory, which was largely due to sellers listing their homes in order to pay off special assessments for which many communities levied.
As we head into the second half of the year, I expect DTC condos and townhomes to decline around 3-4% until bottoming out in early November - at the time of the election. I expect buyer interest to rebound late in 2024, creating momentum heading into 2025.
